Based
in Nottingham, Revival
have been performing now for over 34 years, entertaining audiences
across the country and helping to raise many thousands of pounds
for charity.
Revival are a group of musicians who specialise in recreating
the sounds of the 1960's and early 1970's. They are not a tribute
band although their aim is to recreate the sound and excitement
of the original artistes from that era. On occasions the choice
of music finds the band in more recent decades but there is
always an outstanding song that took them there. The great music
from those early years soon draws them back and they quickly
return to more familiar ground. Creating the Revival sound requires
the use of state of the art amplification equipment, authentic
instruments, great musicianship and fabulous vocal harmonies.

As many of you will know 2023 was a particularly difficult year
for the band. The reasons have been well documented elsewhere
on this site. The sudden illness of our lead singer ,Ken, meant
that we fulfilled all of our bookings over Christmas and the
New Year as a five piece, delivering the expected programme
by sharing the vocals between each member. The feedback from
our audiences at these performances was so positive that we
have decided to continue taking bookings as a five piece in
anticipation of the return of our front man Ken. Our aim is
to work with Ken in whatever capacity he feels comfortable,
once he regains his fitness.
As you will see from the band picture above we have taken the
decision to move from our familiar image by leaving the drape
jackets in the wardrobe for the time being, until Ken returns
to full fitness. We have also only included the present line
up of the band to make it clear that we do not expect Geoff
or Ken to be back with us in the very near future and we anticipate
that any return will initially be limited to what may be described
as 'guest appearances'.
We
understand that we cannot replicate the outstanding vocal performances
delivered by Ken at every performance, for so many years but
we sincerely hope that you understand the reason for the changes
that we have made. We will however, continue to retain the essence
of what has made REVIVAL so popular for so many years. We really
hope that you will continue to support us while Ken regains
his health. We can assure you that we will be delivering the
songs you know and love with all of the considerable talent
at our disposal and who knows, the next gig you attend may be
the one that Ken makes a welcome return appearance at.
